What looks good on a university application?

Besides grades and classes, what else looks good on a university application?

  1. Hmm I'm not sure if your thinking about putting this on there... But I think putting your name on the application would a very smart decision to make.
  2. Getting involved in your school and community always looks good! Take advantage of the clubs and vollunteer opportunities your school, church, community center has to offer because colleges eat that stuff up. I didnt have a 4.0 and i only got a 29 on the ACT but i've already been accepted to some top schools like UMichigan, Creighton University, University of Illinois... because im so involved in my school. Also, really win em over with your essays too. Because thats where schools get to see you as more than just numbers and activity lists. They can put a personality to your name. Which in some cases may land you a spot. So, in other words- GET INVOLVED! (It's really easier than it seems)
  3. Taking the tough classes in high school, playing a sport or maybe joining a club and getting the president role in it. Also I would suggest trying to get some volunteer hours in.
