What are the consequences of missing university application deadlines by one minute?
I miss my UPenn, NYU, and Yale undergraduate common application deadline by roughly a few minutes. Is this gonna affect my university admission decision? Am I going to be denied admission just because I missed the deadlines?

- Quite likely. That deadline is one of the tests to see how reliable you are at getting your work done on time.
- You may not be denied but your applications will be dated the day after the due date. This means the applications probably won't be evaluated with the others that arrived by the due date. If any of the schools fill their incoming class with the applicants who sent in their materials by the deadline, you will be out of luck. If that happens though, you might be wait listed, meaning an offer of admission could be made to you if someone already admitted decides to go elsewhere. Best bet...call the admission offices of each school and find out how each handles post-deadline applications. They are the only source for accurate information about their individual policies. Good luck to you.
